I'm a New York girl. No, not City. I'm from a small town Upstate. For those from outside of New York, Upstate encompasses all that is not The City. I grew up surrounded by cows, corn, and snow.
I met this guy at my first job out of college when I moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dan won my heart and pretty soon, we were doing this in a little beach town called Cape May, New Jersey, in front of 50 or so of our family members and closest friends.
We went here for our honeymoon.
And saw that.
And did this.
While we were there, we decided we wanted to move here.
We loved it but moved to North Carolina after a year. I didn't like that, so I'm not going to share any pictures.
Nine months later, we were back. And happy.
A few years later, this happened. And we were even happier!
She has been our joy.
Endless source of laughter.
And partner in our travels.
Then Paityn started asking for a sister. And we decided it was time to pursue our dream of adopting. In January of 2012, Olivia joined our family.
An answer to three prayers.
One.
Two.
Three.
And now you know all about me because these pictures capture that which is the most important to me: my family.
This blog is about exactly that.
Family.
Mostly the ups because I'm a glass half full kinda girl but sometimes the downs.
My life with my husband, raising our two little girls. Both balancing jobs and parenting. Learning as we go. And loving every minute of this crazy, wonderful life we created together.

Ha! HA! Ha! too cute! - i think this is the best "Space-holder" i've ever seen! LOL

ReplyDeleteThanks, Savannah! She's growing like a little weed. But a super cute one.
DeleteI love that you adopted your second! My younger nephew is adopted. Do you guys still live in SF? We lived there for years. I miss it!
ReplyDeleteWe live just a bit outside of SF, but I do love the city. If our job was closer to the city, we'd live there because we love it so much.
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by!
What a beautiful testament to just how much you love your family. Your daughters are very blessed to have such a loving mom and dad.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by after being over on SITS. I'm glad I did. The environment that you've created here is heartwarming.

ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLoved reading more about you. Sorry I have been a bad blog friend. I am in NC and don't hate it but don't love it either. I didn't know you adopted. So awesome. I have always wanted to adopt.
ReplyDeleteI think our experience in NC was particular to us, so that had a great deal to do with my impressions of it. I had never wanted to move from Cali in the first place, so I wasn't in the frame of mind to like it, and some other depressing events occurred that all combined to make it a bad experience.
DeleteSo glad you stopped by! I love reading your blog. :)
Oh what a BEAUTIFUL way to share your story!!!! Man, I am totally falling in love with you and your gift. Finding treasures on line in this blogging world, is such a blessing! It seems I found one here. Can't wait to read more...
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet! Thank you very much.
